Nissan Silvia & 180sx at Auction
Japan has an unbelievable selection of S body Nissans, they range from S13, PS13, S14, S14A and S15 and everyone of them look amazing. The drifters in Japan use the Nissan Silvia and 180sx to drift because the cars have the Sr20det engine that is highly tunable and they are rear wheel drive. With the addition of a 2 way LSD the Silvias and 180sx will go sideways extremely easy. As the drifting community does quite a lot of damage to their cars it’s hard to find clean unmodified examples of the Nissan Silvia.
The Nissan Silvia S13 below is a Ks which means its a turbo car and looks like its got quite a few nice extras. The car looks like it’s a drift car as its got numerous bumps dents and scratches plus the paint work is different colours for different panels. Its got widened FRP arches in the front and a FRP bonnet and what looks like a rocket bunny spoiler. The car looks awesome it’s a pity it someone let it become so grubby. This car should sell in Japan for $2,000 to $3,000.
The S15 Nissan Silvia below looks amazing, the S15 has a full wide arch kit with Volk split rims. The S15 is a 2001 car with 96,000kms on the clocks but the clocks have been replaced for aftermarket ones. The body is a grade R which means crash repair, the panels are clean enough with only a scratch on one side skirt. It looks like it has an aftermarket ECU and Defi gauges and god knows what’s under the bonnet, I wouldn’t mind finding out.
The Nissan Silvia S14A below looks like its a track focused car with the full roll cage and racing Bride seat. Its a 1996 S14 with 96,000 kms and the body has has crash repairs done to it. The car looks great with the Purple spray job and carbon fiber bonnet.
Another non standard paint job but unfortunately this time it looks like someone has took a melted barbie doll as their inspiration colour. The Purple Nissan 180sx had potential but I think its gone to far to be saved now.
A Nissan Silvia S14 with an S15 face always looks great. The S14 Silvia below with a better wheel choice and fitment, would look even better. This Nissan Silvia S14.5 has a host of optional extras. It has slight rust problems which is a shame, but i think it would be a good purchase.
