Honda S2000 200bhp Mugen SS2200
A Mugen S2000 kitted AP1 Honda S2000 came up at Auction this week and it has to be said that i just looks weird. The Mugen SS2200 was a concept car by mugen that was developed by Mugens project manager Takashi Uno, he was responsible for the Mugen S2000 SS bodykit. The inspiration of the kit came from the Bonneville streamline landspeed record cars.
The S2000 is a 1999 AP1 and is basically a race car with a Spoon 2.2 engine producing 280BHP with a host of Spoon extras with a Js racing LSD and exhaust. The Mugen SS2200 replica car had a reserve of $8,000 and didn’t sell. The car doesn’t have the full SS2200 kit but it has the roadster style of the SS2200 honda, the rear spoiler looks similar but it’s mounted differently. Id love to see this on track
