Toyota Corolla AE86 Levin GT Apex
The Toyota Corolla Levin is commonly referred to as an AE86, its the fifth generation of the Corolla, production started in 1983. There are two types of AE86 Corolla, an AE86 Levin and AE86 Trueno model. The two main differences between the two models is the light configuration, the AE86 Levin had headlights integrated into the front grill and the AE86 Trueno has pop up headlights, both models come in a hatchback and coupe version. In japan the AE86 Corolla is commonly called Hachi-Roku which means 86. The AE86 Levin came in many different specifications and different models that could feature optional LSD or disc brakes. They even came in a limited run of a model called “Black Limited” this model of AE86 corolla was produced to mark the end of the famous AE86 corolla production. The Ae86 Levin was power by a 4A-GE engine that produced 130bhp in standard form.

As the AE86 Corolla has such a cult following in the car world partially due to their success in the drifting sector of motorsport and the popular Japanese Tv show “Initial D”. The AE86 has many different bodykit and aftermarket parts, one of the best manufacturer of AE86 aftermarket parts in J-Blood, they have a large catalogue of parts that suit the AE86.
The red Ae86 Levin below is for sale at Auction it has a J-Blood FRP type II body kit, it looks great with a set of 9J and 9.5J 15 inch alloys sitting perfectly under the widened front wings. The interior of the AE86 looks like it has carbon fiber dash and Bride bucket seats and a full roll cage to keep everything safe. The AE86 has an great looking engine bay with an AE111 levin 20v engine and a host of TRD engine goodies that anyone would dream of. The manifold and throttle bodies on this car look amazing. The car is for sale here for $17,000 before taxes and import fees but it should sell at auction cheaper, I’ll update the price here, if it sells.
