The Toyota 2000GT is one of Japan’s most expensive cars with one previously sold for $1.15 millions dollars in America. There was only 351 Toyota 2000GTs produced, the Toyota sports car first came to most peoples attention from the James Bond movie “You only live twice“.
The Toyota 2000Gt has 2.0 Litre twin cam engine that produces 150 bhp and it has reported top speed of 135 miles per hour. The engine was produced by Toyota and tuned by Yamaha, as can be seen the from the picture of the engine of the 2000GT for sale in Japan, it still looks spotlessly clean.

The Toyota 2000Gt was modelled around the same time as the Jaguar E type and has a very similar style. The 2000gt has 2 little hatch doors on the front wings, one door is for the battery and the other door is for the air filter and water bottle. The hatches provide easy access for servicing and maintenance of the 2000GT.

The interior of the 2000Gt has leather bucket seats with a wooden dash and steering wheel and as can be seen from the below picture a pull out handbrake.
As can be seen from the pictures above the 2000GT is for sale here in Japan for $662,181 and is in unbelievable condition. Even the exhausts seem to be polished to within an inch of their life. The 2000Gt is a 1967 car with 74,400 kilometers on it. This is truly a rare JDM car that is nearly half the price that they are making in other countries, so I presume it won’t hang around long at this price.
