Hakosuka GTX Skyline
The KGC10 was manufactured from 1971 by Nissan, this was the start of the godzilla legend. The KGC10 skyline was nicknamed “Hakosuka” which roughly translates Boxy Skyline. The 2000Gt had a 6 cylinder engine and triple carburetors. The First GTR Hakosuka was manufactured in 1969 with a S20 DOHC engine that produced 160hp, there was only 1,115 coupe GTRs produced between 1970 and 1972, some examples of original GTRs have sold for over $250,000 in auction.
The Hakosuka Skyline below is a GT-X that has been modified to look like a GTR. The GTX is probably the perfect model to modify to try and recreate the look of the GTR as the GTR is so valuable, there would be fear of damaging it while out driving. The Car has had a full restoration as can be seen from the pictures and is in perfect condition.
Its got an L28 engine bored out to 3.1 Litre and Solex Carburettors and aftermarket exhaust headers and twin exhausts to the rear. The engine has stainless catch can and is spotless under the hood.
The interior has Datsun bucket seats that compliment the car perfectly, they look as if they should have always been there. A roll cage has been fitted but it still allows access to the rear seats which is a bonus.
The exterior has has the compulsory wider arches and Watanabe 15 inch alloy wheels, the front are 9J wide with Neova 205/50/15 tyres and the rear are 9.5J wide with 225/50/15 tyres and all sitting perfectly under the arches with custom coilovers.
This Car is in pristine condition and will probably command a high price, prices of replica Hakosuka GTX GTR can vary in price greatly.
